Anna Dickinson (aka Type Delight) is a graphic designer, lettering artist and illustrator. Her artwork is inspired by the good, the bad, the messy, and most importantly—the beautiful aspects of being a human being. She strives to bring joy and optimism to others through bright colors, whimsical patterns and hand drawn letter forms.
I’m an Enneagram Type Two. Coffee is my beverage of choice. I work as a graphic designer at a men’s clothing company for my day job!
I went to art school for graphic design, and have always loved incorporating hand drawn elements into my work!
My artwork is inspired by the good, the bad, the messy, and most importantly—the beautiful aspects of being a human being. As someone who struggles with anxiety and depression, I strive to bring joy and optimism to others through bright colors, whimsical patterns and hand drawn letter forms.
I like to get up early (I’m definitely a morning person!), and 3-4x a week I’ll go for a jog or workout. After I get ready for my day, I usually make a quick breakfast or pack a smoothie. When I’m home from my full-time job, I work on any outstanding freelance work, social media posts, and catch up on emails! I like to end my day by relaxing and catching up on my favorite TV show with my husband and pup.
Recently I’ve been accepting the block, and knowing that it will pass. Everything is temporary—even a creative block!
My sketchbook, my favorite brush ben, an old school Ticonderoga pencil, my iPad, and Apple pencil. I also use Procreate and the Adobe Creative Suite.

I have a few tips! 1. Create the work you want to be hired for. 2. Put your work out there—even if it’s not “perfect”! 3. Don’t be afraid of failing! It’s the only way to learn from your mistakes, grow, and improve.
Collaborating with one of my favorite brands—Ban.do, Anthropologie, or Target.
