Idriss Dabré is a half Burkinabe and half Belgian illustrator working in Paris. He spent his childhood in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, West Africa before moving to Belgium to study. He loves symbolism and iconic imagery (Gustav Klimt, Yoshitaka Amano, James Jean). All his work features allegory, metaphor or childhood memories.

My mum is a painter, my dad an architect so I guess this industry naturally came calling.
Comics artist like Jean Giraud, Manu Larcenet and Daniel Clowes. I am also a huge fan of indie games, Jonathan Blow for example or Lucas Pope really inspired me. And directors Paul Thomas Anderson, Paolo Sorrentino and many more.

I have done many illustration commissions to date. So I guess it Nine by Nine would be one! Plus the art direction I have don at work for the likes of Netflix, Ubisoft and Playstation.
