My name is Talita Marques and I am a Brazilian graphic designer and letterer, who also works as an illustrator. I started working with lettering and illustration 6 years ago when I used to draw some letters as a relaxing moment in the middle of my busy work as a graphic designer. The passion with letters fastly became my full time job and since then I have been using my art to share with the world positive and inspiring messages, to make their day (and life) a bit happier!

What do you include in your daily routine to practice self care? Like a true virgo, I am passionate about routines and love to include things in my day things that I know will keep me positive and motivated, such as a big mug of black coffee or an iced latte coffee (I’m definitely a coffee addict!). I also make sure I have a very regular workout routine, because this is something that really changes my mood. And of course, I couldn't leave out music, music definitely makes me a happier person on a daily basis!

What motivates you? I am truly motivated by challenges. I love to see how I can achieve anything I want in life if I work hard for it. The feeling of being challenged to prove to myself that I can do it, is the most satisfying feeling for me.

What or who inspires you? I am very inspired by things around me. It could be a song I listened to, some street art I saw on a walk. I don't have just one inspiration in life, because I am constantly changing and what inspires me changes too. So I would say, I am inspired by life!

What is your favourite positive affirmation? That's a hard one, because I have a few. But if I could choose just one, I'd say: Positive thinking only takes us forward.

Do you ever suffer with self doubt and if so, how do you overcome it? I think everybody suffers with that right? It's normal though. But how you deal with this situation is the key. For me, every day I wake up and open my eyes I have two choices: dwell on my problems, insecurities and doubts and compare myself to others OR I can understand what I am feeling, remind myself how great I am right and remind myself that if I need to change something, it’s down to me to make it happen. I always try to remind myself that life is easy, we are the ones that complicate it.

What impact do you hope your work has on people? Since I started with my creative work, my true goal is and always was making someone else happy and motivated. Whether using my art in posts on social media or teaching people. If I have the chance to change someone else's life, even if just a bit, I am the happiest person in the world.
