Yime (Mario de Santiago) loves to explore social interactions and gather them into quirky and colourful storytelling compositions. "Images are the easiest way of spreading ideas, specially in this time in which we are constantly shot with information." He is from Madrid, but currently lives in Valencia, enjoying coffee in the morning and beer at night.

Tell us a fun fact about you I couldn't speak english 3 years ago.

How did you get into illustration? I was studying Fine Arts and met Andrés Lozano. He helped me define my career path and encouraged me to keep pushing forward.

Who or what inspires you the most? Satiric artists like Joan Cornellá, Jeff Koons or David Shrigley. Also memes, jokes and social activism.

What does a typical day look like for you? I wake up around 7:30, prepare some coffee and some toast for breakfast, then write down any ideas or thoughts that came up during the night and write a 'to do list'. Then I get to my desk and start working on whatever project I have going on at the time. Lunch break is at 14:30 and then I'm back to work until 21:00. Although, normally evenings are less productive, so I spend some of the last hours of the day sketching ideas and writing stories.

What do you do when you have a creative block? Write a trap song, go out for a beer or take a long walk around the city.

Top three clients you've worked with? ZARA, Starbucks and Central Saint Martins.

What tools (digital or not!) do you use to create your work? Pencil, paper and Rotring for the sketching part. Software and Cintiq for the finals.

What's your favourite resource for inspiration? Everyday life.

Do you have any tips for artists thinking of doing freelance? Don't stress it too much. It kind of just happens, make sure you keep working on something you believe in and things will eventually pop up.

What would your dream project be? Designing either a collection or some custom sneakers for Nike.

How can fans keep up-to-date with your work? Instagram
