Grab a glass of something chilled and have a read of our latest interview with interior influencer and owner of one of our favourite gallery walls on the whole of Instagram… Nest Twenty Eight, otherwise known as Lucinda Mitra!
I’m Lucinda Mitra and I’m an interiors blogger.
I live in a village in East Sussex in a detached four bedroom house.
I would describe my style as a mix of Scandi, rustic and industrial.
My favourite space changes all the time, and it’s probably dictated by the seasons. At the moment, I love the dining end of my kitchen and sitting and working at my table with the sun pouring in (which is what I’m doing now as I type!)
I will always maintain that waiting several weeks of months depending on the scale of the decorating is the key to getting it right the first time.
I always think about the wall colour first, and then how I can incorporate art and accessories that are versatile with it.
IKEA – love it or hate it, you can’t go wrong with the price point and timeless designs. Argos – they have amazingly priced home décor, that looks way more expensive than it is. And of course- Nine By Nine for unique and vibrant prints!
This is a great question, but a tough one, as there are so many stunning and inspirational homes, but I would probably say Laura and Nora from @_designtales_. I love the neutral rustic, Scandi tones and textures in their home and studio, it makes me swoon every time!
I choose prints by thinking of the colour palettes that I like and the mood I want to evoke in the space and then considering whether it will compliment the rest of the room. Try and mix up the type of art- if you’re into typography, try to add some photography and graphic art, for example, as you don’t want to overdo one look, as it can look laboured.
I love my You Got This print- the pink and blue together is gorgeous and soft, and the black adds that extra sass!
